Armor Guide

Armor is the Forger's most important tool for defending and tanking against enemies in The Forge. You can forge armor by melting ores and choosing the armor option. There are currently 15 armor pieces split across three categories: Light, Medium, and Heavy.

Armor defines how hard you are to kill. Mixing different types lets you trade survivability, rarity, and profit depending on your goals.

Health % Multiplier for Max HP.
Chance Rarity of forging the piece.
Base Price Sell value before Ore Multiplier.

Armor Stats Explained

Health Bonus

The percentage bonus added to your base HP. A +25% chestplate increases your survival significantly. Typically, Chestplates offer the highest health stats, followed by Leggings and Helmets.

Forge Chance

The rarity of forging a specific variant. For example, the Dark Knight set has a lower chance (1/2) within Heavy Armor compared to the standard Knight set (1/1).

Sell Price

The base gold value when sold to NPCs. This price is multiplied by the combined Ore Multiplier used during crafting. High-tier heavy armor yields the most profit.

Medium Armor

Crafting Location: Forgotten Kingdom Island. A balanced choice for exploration. Sets like the Samurai variant offer superior protection (+12% Health) compared to standard gear without the massive movement penalties of heavy plate.

Heavy Armor

Crafting Location: Forgotten Kingdom Island. The endgame tank standard. The Dark Knight set is the crown jewel of this tier, offering massive health boosts (+25% per piece). However, crafting them requires rare ores and steady hands at the anvil.

How to Forge Armor

Crafting defense gear follows a specific loop:

  1. Mine Ores: Gather materials like Iron, Gold, or Galaxite. The rarity of the ore determines your armor's color and stat multiplier.
  2. Select the Tab: Approach the anvil and switch the menu to the Armor Tab (usually at the bottom).
  3. The Minigames: Armor forging requires completing 3 skill-based minigames: Heating, Pouring, and Hammering. Precision is key—higher accuracy results in better base stats.
  4. Ore Influence: Your armor's appearance will inherit the texture and glow of the primary ore used. A Magmaite Chestplate will glow with molten cracks!

Armor Enhancing

Want even more power? Visit the Enhancer Stand in the village. By spending Essence (dropped by enemies), you can upgrade your armor tiers. Enhanced armor gains significant boosts to Health %, Defense, and Sell Value.
